Vietnamese

Just next door to Thailand, the cuisine is similar but unmistakeably different.  Whereas Thailand has a gentle complexity, Vietnamese food is stronger and more aggressive.

But it's a cuisine that we seem to like a lot.  We've tasted a number of their recipes and never had one we didn't like.

Highlights

Mahi Mahi with Lemongrass SlawI make the Mahi-Mahi with Lemongrass Slaw and Rice Fritters often.  I love the fritters!  They have a wonderful, complex flavour and a very satisfying crunch when you bite into one. The fish and slaw are good too.

The Summer Rolls are almost Thai to me and we sometimes serve them as an appetizer to the Phat Thai that I like so much.

Pork Sticks in Lettuce Cups are quite unusual and make a great contribution to an appetizer party.  They will not be duplicated by anyone else!
