Hors d'Oeuvres 

We love appetizers!  You can't have a meal with friends without some nibblies before dinner, otherwise, you'd have to drink your before dinner wine without food!

You can tell from the number of Hors d'Oevres listed in this Section that we have finger food appetizers often. Appetizer Parties are common where we live and so are Pot Luck dinners.

Not all appetizers are suitable for every occasion, so I'll break this list down.

At home for Guests

Bacon Wrapped Prawns with Chipotle Sauce are a tad spicy but anyone who doesn't mind a little warmth will love them.

Roasted Asparagus in Panko Bread Crumbs is simple, but surprisingly good.

Shrimpy Things

Shrimp on Belgian Endive Spears is one of our most served appetizers - easy to make, looks good, tastes great, and goes with everything.

Curry Magic is a great contribution to a party if you can find good jicama. It’s unusual and can be served without pre-heating. 

Special Treats

Gravlax with its wonderful Sweet Mustard Sauce is our number one hit for anywhere.  Don’t be intimidated by the process; it’s simple to make.
