Bruschetta

In case it isn't obvious, bruschetta is our favourite appetizer!

BTW, most English speakers pronounce this incorrectly as brew-shetteh.  The correct Italian pronuciation is brew-skettah.

The bruschetta that is the most popular with our friends is the Vegetable Finger Sandwiches. This appetizer is impressive to look at and tastes even better.  It will be a star at any party.

The other recipe that is great for taking out is the Proscuitto, Mushroom, and Boursin Crostini.  It's better warm but almost as good cold, so you can make it in advance and it will still be welcomed by your guests.

Tomato Fennel BruschettaAt home, we serve the Prosciutto Wrapped Greens a lot because it's not only good, it's good for you.

The Tomato and Fennel Bruschetta is much like the traditional Italian appetizer that you find in many restaurants but the addition of minced Fennel (or sometimes sweet onion) improves on a good thing. A new version of this recipe is my latest craving: Tomato Toasts with Chives and Sesame Seeds.
